Business Development Liaison
At Select Specialty Hospital, a division of Select Medical, we care for chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital care. Responsibilities
You will be a champion of The Select Medical Way, which includes : putting the patient first, helping to improve quality of life for the community in which you live and work, developing and exploring new ideas, providing high-quality care, and doing well by doing what is right.
Key responsibilities include :
- Working with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing your strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
- Performing clinical assessments of referred patients, then counseling with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
- Partnering with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.
Qualifications
What we're looking for in a Business Development Liaison :
Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License.Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.Willing to commute to New York City three days per week and to Northern New Jersey two days per week.Must have a car for daily travel requirements.Preferred skills that will make you a successful Clinical Liaison :
Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.Superior communication and relationship-building skills.Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.Additional Data
