As the Experienced Hire Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, you will lead strategies to attract and hire exceptional talent that drives MITRE's success. Partnering closely with business leaders, Marketing, and HR, you will design and execute enterprise-wide recruiting and candidate attraction initiatives that position MITRE as an employer of choice. You will oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, develop and lead recruiting teams, and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience that inspires top talent to join and grow their careers with us. This role reports to the Talent Acquisition Director.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to understand hiring needs, shape recruiting strategies, and influence decisions to meet organizational goals.
  • Lead and develop a team of recruiters dedicated to experience hire recruiting, fostering performance, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Design and implement recruitment strategies that attract high-potential talent, set measurable goals, and drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Build and lead the strategic sourcing function, overseeing a sourcing team to develop proactive talent pipelines for critical and high-volume roles.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle and leverage data insights to optimize sourcing, selection, and hiring outcomes.
  • Partner with marketing and business leaders to co-create candidate attraction strategies that elevate MITRE's employer brand and inspire top talent to join our mission.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience, including :
  • 8+ years of experience leading and managing recruiting teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in mid-to senior level talent acquisition.
  • Proven success leading recruiting teams and developing scalable, data-driven recruitment strategies.
  • 4+ years of experience developing and leading targeted candidate attraction and recruitment marketing strategies aligned to organizational hiring needs.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned to business priorities and hiring goals.
  • Demonstrated experience driving process improvements to enhance recruiting efficiency, quality, and candidate experience.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with business stakeholders, HR partners, and internal functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Skilled at influencing and driving change within a matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment analytics, and other recruiting technologies (Workday and Phenom experience desired).
  • Ability to travel occasionally; requires a minimum of 50% on-site.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in government contracting and / or non-profit recruiting, with a demonstrated understanding of government hiring practices and clearance requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience leading large-scale and high-volume recruiting initiatives.
  • Experience analyzing recruitment metrics, trends, and data, and applying insights to make strategic improvements.
