As a Warehouse Team Membe r, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for performing various tasks to ensure the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse, from receiving incoming shipments to preparing orders for shipment.
Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively within a team will be essential in maintaining the high standards of productivity and accuracy expected in our warehouse operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Receive incoming shipments of goods, verify contents against accompanying documents (packing slips, purchase orders, etc.
and unload items from delivery trucks.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by properly labeling, organizing, and storing incoming merchandise in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Fulfill customer orders by accurately picking items from inventory according to order sheets or electronic requests, and pack them securely for shipment.
- Perform regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet company standards for condition, quantity, and accuracy.
- Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery by properly packaging items, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with shipping carriers for pickup or delivery.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move, stack, and transport goods as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping, removing debris, and keeping aisles and storage areas clear of obstructions.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Warehouse Site Manager.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse team members and departments to fulfill orders, resolve issues, and achieve overall warehouse objectives.
Qualifications Required :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50lbs), and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail for accurate inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
