Duties :

Draft and file pleadings, motions, orders, and legal correspondence

Conduct client consultations and maintain ongoing communication

Represent clients in hearings, trials, and settlement conferences

Interview and prepare witnesses for court proceedings

Maintain organized case files and track deadlines

Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all legal filings

Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on case law

Collaborate with court staff, opposing counsel, and firm colleagues

Participate in strategy meetings and contribute to case planning

Manage administrative responsibilities related to assigned cases

Requirements :

Active license to practice law in the State of Texas

Demonstrated commitment or interest in family law practice

Strong litigation, negotiation, and communication skills

Professional presence in the courtroom and with clients

Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and effectively

Readiness to handle cases independently with minimal oversight

Education :

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications :

Must be in good standing with the State Bar of Texas

Skills :

Legal drafting and analytical writing

Oral advocacy and courtroom presence

Client relationship management

Case strategy and trial preparation

Organizational skills and time management

Familiarity with family law procedural rules and local court requirements
