Plant Operations Manager
Responsible for the management and administration of the plant operations and maintenance of assigned facilities.
Plans, directs, and monitors preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities for an assigned facility.
Prioritizes, schedules, and manages preventative maintenance activities utilizing resources across the Facilities Management division.
Develops and implements cost, timeline, and budget parameters, including monitoring and ensuring compliance with government and regulatory standards, including but not limited to, Joint Commission and CMS.
Plans and schedules the acquisition of materials necessary for maintenance operations including impairments and outages.
Recommends and advises Facilities Management leadership on standards, policies, and procedures as they relate to Joint Commission Environment of Care and Life Safety standard, NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E.
Researches, evaluates, and recommends new maintenance equipment and tools to enhance the capabilities of the maintenance team as they practice and implement preventative maintenance across the campus.
Develops and implements repairs and maintenance procedures; monitors the cost effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritizes spending, and achieves timeliness, reliability, and safety standards.
Management duties include interviewing, selecting and training of employees; recommending pay adjustments; planning and directing work; appraising productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status; handling complaints and grievances when necessary.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Demonstrated planning, organization, customer focus, patient-centered and teamwork skills.
Advanced knowledge of building maintenance, utilities, and electrical systems troubleshooting and repair.
Builds and maintains positive working relationships, within individual work groups and across departments, through open communication and collaboration; works with others to accomplish goals and objectives.
Ability to lead, direct and contribute to initiatives and processes within the institution while creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows.
Ability to coordinate and manage cost, quality and budgetary requirements.
Ability to collaborate across and within different levels of the organization.
Ability to meet required timeframes Ability to work with outside entities including multiple vendors, contractors, and accreditation agencies including, but not limited to, Joint Commission and CMS.
Must have above average writing and communication skills.
Ability to write technical scopes of work and analyze proposals.
Five (5) years experience in building maintenance and utility systems.
