Description

Just 4 Kids Health is seeking a CMA, CNA, and / or EMT to assist with both reception duties as well as cover clinical shifts as needed. Employees at Just 4 Kids are expected to provide an excellent patient experience by treating each patient and parent with kindness, empathy, and understanding. The MA hired for this position will fill a minimum of one shift per week in the reception position. Cross training is a requirement.

Some of the reception duties are as follows :

  • Provide exceptional guardianand patient encounters.
  • Determine the priority of patients' needs based on the severity of their symptoms.
  • Obtain necessary insurance information to add / update patient account(s) in electronic medical records system.
  • Keep patients informed of their account information and status.
  • Answer telephone calls, record and deliver messages for other staff members.
  • Perform various clerical duties such as copying / scanning forms, reports, patient info, etc.
  • Collect payments, insurance co-pays, medicine charges, etc.
  • Upon discharge, distribute patient records to proper departments or offices.
  • Maintain a tidy, clean lobby and work area.
  • Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).
  • Ensure a superior patient experience, by embracing the Just 4 Kids mission and values, and treating all with compassion and respect.

MA Duties are as follows :

  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
  • Take patient histories and vital signs.
  • Screen and direct patient calls to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA).
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers and clinic leadership.
  • Correspondence by phone, in person, or in writing with regard to patient care, i.e. insurance carriers, physicians, non-clinic physicians.
  • Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physicians' review, etc.
  • Document patient files, records, forms, and other info.
  • Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Be sure work area appears neat, well stocked, and organized.
  • Other Duties

  • Maintain disposable and non-disposable supplies, i.e. wound care supplies, laundry, etc.
  • Provide general information of department policies and procedures.
  • Attend required meetings, re-certifications, and participate in committees as requested.
  • Maintain clean, professional working / treatment area.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to successfully complete new hire training program.
  • Maintain current BLS certificate.
  • Maintain current MA, CNA,or EMT license.
  • MUST BE 18 TO APPLY.
