Our interdisciplinary team combines expertise in optics, electronics, and biomedical engineering to create technologies that push the boundaries of medical imaging innovation.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Optical Engineer to join our team in Franklin, Tennessee and contribute to the continued development of the Alina medical imaging system. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in optical system design, testing, and integration, with a strong background in medical imaging, optics, or optoelectronics . Experience in electrical engineering or system-level integration is a plus.

Experience designing optical systems within tight size and space constraints is especially valuable, as the Alina platform emphasizes compactness and integration without sacrificing image performance.

This position is fully in-person and offers the opportunity to collaborate directly with a small, focused team driving innovation in clinical imaging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, model, and test optical subsystems for medical imaging applications
• Perform optical simulations, tolerance analyses, and prototype evaluations
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to achieve system-level performance and compact designs
• Conduct optical alignment, calibration, and image quality validation
• Support documentation, design reviews, and product development under relevant medical device standards
