In this role, you will w ork within the Electrification Solutions Group to manage the Engineering and support services for the integration of electrical equipment into E-Houses.

The work model for the role is : onsite #LI-onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in Houston, TX or Mebane, NC.

You will be mainly accountable for :

• Evaluate, selects and applies standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Provides technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities. Prepares project documentation within one's scope of deliverables.
• Supports Project Managers in issuing claims (new / change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.). Provides quality solutions as per customer requirements and delivers within budget and contract. Ensures adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
• Develop and manage an engineering project plan, design reviews and design approvals between ABB, sub supplying vendors, subcontractors and the customer. Improves effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions.
• Develop status reports and modify plans or schedules, as necessary, to ensure contract parameters are met.
• Monitor the performance of subcontractors to ensure they satisfactorily fulfill their commercial and technical supply commitments..
• Maintain close contact with customers and project participants to identify and resolve technical issues of mutual concern and to seek opportunities for additional business. Ensure timely contract completion, customer satisfaction, and desired financial return.
• Identify and pursue the resolution of problem areas likely to hinder the progress of work or payment of work completed to optimize the successful completion of and payment for project work.

Qualifications for the role :

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

2 years relevant engineering experience in electrical power systems and project engineering.

Knowledge of medium and or low voltage switchgear equipment, protections, control, and automations, and the application of such equipment in fully integrated Power Distribution Centers.

Working knowledge of IEEE / ANSI, NEMA, NETA, API, and PIP standards.

Working knowledge of NEC, NESC, and other codes as applicable to power distribution equipment.
