About the role : Join Boston Scientific's Operations Commercial Planning team as a Senior Production Planner and play a vital role in ensuring global product availability across our manufacturing network. Based in Maple Grove, MN, this position offers an opportunity to drive strategic planning initiatives, optimize supply chain processes, and directly impact patient care around the world. As a Senior Production Planner, you will be responsible for managing the manufacture of finished medical devices for global customers, improving tools and systems, and supporting critical processes such as SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning), SIOE (Execution), and Lean / CI initiatives. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work across functions and regions.

This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Your responsibilities will include : Serve as a key point of contact for production units, sister sites, and global supply chain partners during SIOP / SIOE planning processes. Provide strategic input and direction on manufacturing priorities to stakeholders. Proactively identify and resolve material shortages impacting build plans. Identify and execute projects that support service level, build plan, on-time delivery, and inventory objectives. Own work-in-process (WIP) and subassembly inventory management for assigned areas. Train associates on planning and materials processes. Manage critical master data elements, including safety stock, yields, and lead times. Analyze and communicate inventory and recovery plans as needed. Perform "what-if" scenario planning to support production strategies. Lead and participate in continuous improvement and Lean Business Process (LBP) initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally to manage product lifecycle activities.
Required qualifications : Bachelor's degree required Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing planning, inventory control, demand planning, or supply chain management Experience with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) processes Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications : Experience with Advanced Planning Systems (APS), preferably Kinaxis RapidResponse Planning experience in vertically integrated manufacturing environments APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or similar) Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and / or project management initiatives
