PACU RN Travel Job Details Location : Louisville, KY 40202 (Kentucky nursing jobs) Facility : Academic Medical Center - Main Perianesthesia PACU, 2nd Floor Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 9 : 00am - 9 : 30pm (12-hour day shifts) Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed hours) Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680 - $1800 Number of Beds : 18-bed PACU unit Patient Ratios : Follows ASPAN guidelines and patient acuity EMR : Cerner - Surginet Scrubs : Surgical scrubs provided by hospital PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Kentucky RN license (or compact state license for travel nurses) Minimum 1 year of recent PACU and Critical Care nursing experience Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Certification Proficient in ventilator management, medication drips, arterial line management, lumbar and EVD drains, and dysrhythmia identification Ability to float within PACU as needed Preferred : Transplant nursing experience (kidney and pancreas) Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, reliability, independence, and teamwork PACU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to a diverse patient population, including general surgery, neurology, vascular, and transplant patients Monitor and manage patients during initial recovery, prioritizing patient safety and comfort Operate advanced clinical equipment such as ventilators, Alaris pumps, and EKG machines Manage medication drips, arterial lines, lumbar drains, and EVD drains Identify and respond to dysrhythmias and changes in patient condition promptly Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide patient-centered care Advocate for patients and maintain accountability in a fast-paced PACU environment Experience the excitement of downtown Louisville while working in one of Kentucky's leading healthcare jobs.
