Sr Commercial Risk And Control Manager

The Commercial Risk and Control Manager will play a critical role in driving the successful execution of a detailed analysis of Controls for our client's Commercial Banking environment.

The Commercial Risk and Control Manager will partner with the First Line of Defense (Business Control Officers, Process & Control Owners) as well as the Second Line of Defense to drive consensus and ensure controls are accurately captured. The focus for this role will be to assess adequacy of future state standards, procedures, and controls for a new loan servicing system that is being implemented. In addition they will develop future state procedures to controls and provide UAT Support. Future state procedures need to be mapped against existing control environment and then it needs to be determined if the existing controls are sufficient.

• Job Specific Knowledge / Skills :

1. Demonstrated knowledge of banking industry products, services, and workflows

2. Strong familiarity with critical business processes and controls, as well as overall business needs and objectives, for Commercial Lending

3. Strong track record of driving timely and effective issue resolution in a banking industry context

4. Deep expertise and ability to educate colleagues on risk management, controls, and compliance concepts, frameworks, and policies

5. Experience in coaching cross-functional stakeholders on issue management processes and in advising, providing subject matter expertise, monitoring, and credibly challenging colleagues on all components of the risk and control environment

6. Ability to establish authority, influence stakeholders, and productively debate issues (e.g., credible challenge) at all levels including without direct reporting responsibility

7. Ability to build strong relationships and engage constructively in a proactive and "no surprises" approach with cross-functional stakeholders, to challenge status quo and drive buy-in to achieve common goals

8. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate, including ability to summarize and explain complex findings and issues to a wide range of audiences

9. Ability to apply sound judgment and appropriately escalate concerns and issues

10. Ability to demonstrate managerial courage and inspire colleagues across the organization to embrace change

11. Ability to gather, analyze and interpret large datasets from various sources

12. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

13. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00 / hr.
