Payroll & Benefits Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join a non-profit organization based in Saint Louis, Missouri. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to play a key role in managing payroll operations for over 3,500 employees, including union-affiliated staff. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in payroll systems and timekeeping solutions to ensure accurate processing and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee biweekly payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with union agreements and state regulations.
- Configure and manage payroll systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now, to handle complex entries and manual adjustments.
- Validate timekeeping data using Kronos and integrate it seamlessly with payroll systems.
- Audit payroll reports, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues and streamline workflows.
- Provide responsive customer service to employees, addressing payroll inquiries with professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with union contracts and multi-state payroll regulations.
- Support large-scale payroll operations, maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement improvements to payroll processes and system configurations to optimize performance.
- Train and mentor internal payroll staff to enhance their technical capabilities.
Requirements :
Extensive experience with full-cycle payroll processing for a large workforce.Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Kronos timekeeping systems, including configuration and troubleshooting.Strong knowledge of union payroll structures and compliance requirements.Ability to manage multi-state payroll operations with precision.Skilled in auditing payroll data and reconciling financial reports.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for payroll analysis and reporting.Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.Proven track record of providing excellent customer service in payroll-related matters.
