Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Product Manager in the Gaming Platforms Business Unit to help Strategize, Plan and Deliver impactful new product portfolio.

Snapdragon Gaming Platforms is a new and fast-growing Qualcomm business venture, which is revolutionizing the gaming industry. Snapdragon gaming platforms is the leading platform for mobile and handheld gaming today. Snapdragon gaming platform provides always-on, always-connected experiences with the highest picture quality, robust performance, and energy efficiency. This helps gamers experience immersive graphics, responsive interactivity for their favorite games that they can experience for long time without charging. With Qualcomm's leadership in mobile, OEMs and console makers now can expect to build devices in thinner and lighter formfactor than ever.

This role will be central in making Qualcomm successful in the Gaming Platforms industry. The successful candidate will have good software, hardware and gaming / graphics industry knowledge of what it takes to build great gaming devices. The position requires a proven track record of cross-functional leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role will also involve strong business and finance and marketing skills necessary for owning the P&L.

Principal Duties

Research.

Interacts with industry partners, to understand their products / roadmaps / pricing strategies. Conducts competitive analysis. Conducts Market research to understand overall market.

Strategize & Plan . Defines a comprehensive product strategy, roadmap, pricing and plan. Collaborates with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop product goals (e.g. performance, cost, timeline, customer schedules), discuss product feasibility, and facilitate cross-functional decision making for product lines.

Delivery.

Working with multiple product management, engineering, program, finance, marketing, and other business stakeholders executes on the roadmap creating a strong business impact.

Launch.

Drives product line launch strategies for new products and technologies through marketing opportunities such as industry conferences, press / media, and direct customer contact and ensures successful product launch.

Communicate.

Prepares and delivers highly complex and high-stakes technical and business presentations to variety of internal and external audiences regarding product roadmaps that explain and demonstrate products to customers and integrates customer feedback into project roadmaps.

Level of Responsibility

Working independently on complex tasks with little to no supervision.

Making business, technology and finance decisions in a complex global organization where high level of ambiguity exists.

Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and / or detailed information to multiple individuals / audiences with differing knowledge levels. Role may require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents.

Some financial accountabilities (e.g. manages a budget, has an input into P&L).

Regularly prioritizes and determines what needs to be done and is involved with sharing innovative solutions to achieve broad policies and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

6+ years of product / program / engineering management experience.

MBA or relevant business experience in finance, accounting, marketing.

Engineering background or relevant knowledge of

Gaming consoles and handheld

Hardware : GPU, CPU, Memory, Display, Sensor technologies, power and thermals

Software : Android, Windows, Linux

Experience managing, influencing, negotiating with internal partners such as engineering, product, program, finance and marketing

Experience working with operating budgets and / or project financials.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits :

$179,200.00 - $268,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
