Sr. Lease Accountant

Job Posting

Administer and report on global lease accounting activities. Maintain and review lease documentation and schedules. Ensure compliance with ASC 842 and proper lease classification. Manage lease data entry and integrity in the accounting system. Prepare and approve journal entries for financial close processes. Reconcile lease-related balance sheet accounts. Collaborate with Real Estate, Fleet, Legal, and FP&A teams. Respond to lease-related inquiries and escalate issues as needed. Support internal and external audits with relevant schedules. Lead process improvements and automation initiatives. Mentor junior team members and ensure policy adherence. Stay updated on lease accounting regulations and best practices. Participate in strategic projects and system enhancements.

Skills and Requirements : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. 5+ years of related experience in lease accounting. In-depth knowledge of ASC 842 and U.S. GAAP. Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills. Ability to perform reconciliations and journal entries. Experience managing lease data and documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively. Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects with moderate complexity. CPA certification. Experience with FinQuery Lease software. Experience in a corporate accounting environment. Familiarity with system upgrades, M&A activity, and policy updates. Prior involvement in audit preparation and support.
