This has applications impacting space exploration, climate and green energy, advanced computing, robotics, defense and global food supply chain.

They are currently in stealth mode and incubated by a major VC player with a track record in the last 3 years of launching some of the fastest growing and transformative AI businesses in their respective fields. They are going to announce one of the largest Series A fundraises in start-up history ($1 billion+) with multiple top tier VC backers that are working together on similar ventures.

The Role :

The Senior Accountant will support the build out from 0 to 1 of the Accounting function working closely with the VP Controller. The Senior Accountant will support the month-end close and support financial controls implementation and audit. The role also includes day-to-day operational finance ownership including payroll, accounts payable and intercompany transactions.

The company is one of the fastest growing scale-ups in history so there is plenty of room for progression.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
• Assist in audit preparation and implementation of robust financial controls (ASC606)
• Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations
• Support intercompany transactions and international group consolidations
• Own payroll, accounts payable (AP), expense reporting
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the newly implemented ERP
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Operations teams to support ongoing improvements in reporting and compliance

Requirements

Salary : $100,000-$130,000 + bonus + equity
