$113,600.00 Minimum Starting Base Pay

Position Summary
This position is responsible for construction management of transmission line and substation construction projects.
Provide on-site construction oversight for the transmission and substation portfolio of construction projects and serves as the lead owner representative on projects throughout all phases of constructionLeads, guides and directs construction activities to ensure projects are properly constructedServes as a mentor or coach to staff across the organization and provides construction technical support for all transmission and substation projectsProvide construction management services to ensure key milestones are met and coordinated with other PEC departmentsDevelop and report on construction schedulesSupport specification and documentation of PEC design standards and material standards based on construction observationsReview transmission and substation designs throughout the design phase and prior to construction to provide construction feasibility feedback and be familiar with the project design, specification, material, and outage requirementsSupport department engineers and project managers in project scope and schedule developmentAssists the project manager in providing input to contract bid proposals and bid evaluationsProvides input regarding modifications, change orders and other impacts on projects and coordinates with the project manager to revise scope, schedule and budget as necessaryEnsure contract compliance with PEC specifications, standards, and industry practicesEnsure PEC membership's fiduciary interests are maintained through effective contract management during all construction activitiesEnsure safe working practices and environment is adhered to on the construction siteEnsure construction activities are fully complete when invoiced by construction contractorEnsure environmental and permitting requirements are implemented per the specificationServe as Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Inspector for specific projectsProvide weekly construction reports and status to all interested partiesCoordinate construction activities with other PEC departments to ensure construction timelines are maintainedVerify accuracy of drawing markups and as-builts; hang hard copy control house drawing set and coordinate loading of electronic files in the drawing database.Notify PEC Engineering when projects will not meet contracted schedule; suggest construction options to recover project scheduleReject construction activities and materials that do not meet PEC standards, specifications, and designsConduct pre-construction meetings and safety tailboards as requiredCoordinate with other PEC departments as necessary for completion of the projectsReceive, inventory, inspect, and / or reject material delivered directly to jobsitesReport material received and construction units completed for invoicing and inventoryCoordinate issuing of material to contractor from PEC WarehouseCoordinate outages and / or mobile transformers as necessary for projectsMaintain the security of confidential informationStay abreast of advances in technologyDemonstrate regular and prompt attendancePerforms other related duties as necessary or assignedSupervisory and / or Leadership Responsibilities
