Burns & McDonnell's office in Kansas City, MO, is actively seeking a Staff Environmental Scientist to support, manage, and develop business for environmental surveys, NEPA analysis, and permitting services. This position provides the opportunity to challenge and grow yourself professionally within one of the industry's leading firms. Be on a team that solves our client's issues and problems for environmental and engineering practices in the planning, permitting, design, and remediation service space.
The candidate should have an established and successful history executing tasks for both small and large-scale projects including but not limited to assisting with developing proposals and cost estimates, executing project tasks, and assisting with developing strategic plans. The candidate will support and execute environmental projects and be a technical author on various NEPA and siting documents. Areas to be covered include NEPA, routing and siting, and permitting. This includes permitting applications and analyzing environmental data supporting the development of environmental documents and studies for NEPA compliance for various types of projects, including high-voltage transmission line routing, transportation, renewables, power generation construction activities and upstream and midstream Oil and Gas.
The Environmental Scientist will work within our Environmental Services (ENS) Global Practice to perform the following duties :
