Shift Details

Days - 3 x 12 hours

About the Position

Monitor critically ill children (vitals, labs, ventilators, etc.)

Administer medications & treatments (IV, drips, sedation, etc.)

Respond to emergencies (codes, rapid deterioration)

Collaborate with healthcare team (doctors, RTs, pharmacists)

Educate & support families (condition updates, care instructions)

Document care accurately (EMR, care plans, incident reports)

Maintain infection control & safety protocols

Participate in rounds & care planning

Follow hospital & state nursing standards

Float Requirements

• Float Required : Y
• NICU and CVICU primarily but may go to any area

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a high-acuity, high-census PICU ( required ).

Hard stop : Must meet both acuity and census criteria.

Prior assignments should be >

8 weeks ; extensions preferred .

Academic or large pediatric hospital experience strongly preferred .

First-time travelers accepted if all experience requirements are met.
