Position Summary :

Responsible for the operation of the heart lung machine used in cardiac surgical procedures.

Reports to : Director- Cardiovascular Services

FLSA : Exempt

Minimum Qualifications :

Minimum Education

Graduated from a CAHEA school of perfusion education

Associate's degree in medical field

Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.

Certifications :

Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

Board Certified with American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Preferred)

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

1 year clinical experience
