Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a Sonographer.
  • ARDMS or ARRT (S) Certification
  • BLS from AHA

    • Skills & Responsibilities

  • Perform OB / GYN Ultrasound Examinations – Conduct diagnostic imaging of the female reproductive system, including obstetric and gynecologic studies, following physician orders and clinical protocols.
  • Operate Ultrasound Equipment – Utilize and maintain high-quality ultrasound systems to capture accurate diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Patient Care & Positioning – Prepare patients for procedures, explain exams clearly, and ensure proper positioning for optimal imaging results.
  • Image Quality Assurance – Evaluate images for clarity, contrast, and diagnostic value, making necessary adjustments to obtain the best possible results.
  • Documentation & Charting – Accurately record findings, patient data, and exam details in Cerner PowerChart in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with Medical Staff – Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and review diagnostic findings.
  • Follow Safety & Infection Control Standards – Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and equipment sterilization procedures always.
  • Assist with Procedures – Support physicians during interventional or specialized ultrasound procedures as needed.
  • Professional Development & Certification Maintenance – Maintain BLS certification and stay current with continuing education requirements for sonography.
  • Communication & Compassion – Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families, ensuring a positive diagnostic experience.
