Retail Store Manager
Profitably lead and manage a retail store location, including sales, merchandising, inventory, facility image, personnel, and planning.
Responsibilities
- Supervises Administrative Specialist, Salesperson, Cashier, Warehouser, Area Specialist, Grooming Department, Receiving Department, and other store positions.
- Manage store personnel, including staff selection, training, mentoring, coaching, and evaluating employees.
- Oversee location sales and customer service using established retail customer service standards.
- Facilitate store location inventory productivity.
- Manage and maintain store facility and location equipment using established retail image standards.
- Direct location merchandise management including receiving, merchandising, and selling of product utilizing procedures established by retail administration.
- Manage daily store sales, bookkeeping responsibility, and local expense approval, as well as monitor and act on daily reports, inventory, and other computer or manual practices.
- Participate as a member of the retail management team.
- Plan and execute annual operating budgets for the store location, including sales and margin projections and expense control.
- Lead and participate in regular and special meetings.
- Participate in special project work when requested. And other responsibilities and / or tasks as assigned.
Special Skills / Training
Knowledge of management, supervision practices, principles and regulations.Knowledge of the industry and support of company core values.Skill to operate computer systems and automated office machines.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to customers and staff.Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.Experience / Education
5 years of retail experience.2 years of retail management experience.College degree or equivalent experience.Benefits
