Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – CVICU RN travel jobs

Unit : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), 16 beds

Shift : 12 Hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026)

Staffing : RNs only (no HUC or PCT)

Patient Ratios : 2 : 1 or 1 : 1 (occasionally 3 : 1 depending on acuity)

Documentation System : Cerner EMR

Scrub Colors : All Navy or Navy and White

Floating : Travelers may float to all hospital units

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,630 - $1,750

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license – Registered Nurse jobs in North Carolina

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required

Proficient in titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics

Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and telemetry interpretation

Knowledge of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup / interpretation

Familiarity with transvenous pacing, cardioversion, TEE, and chest tube maintenance

Advanced skills such as IABP, Impella, and CRRT highly desirable

CCRN certification recommended (critical care nurse certification)

CVICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to CVICU patients

Monitor and interpret telemetry and hemodynamic data

Titrate critical medications and manage sedation / paralytics

Operate and troubleshoot advanced equipment (ventilators, IABP, Impella, CRRT)

Assist with procedures : cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, pericardiocentesis, thoracentesis

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Float to other nursing units as needed

Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EMR
