The primary responsibility of the Wholesale and Special Projects Coordinator is to act as the point person and manager of all Wholesale business as well as several key projects under the IT’SUGAR umbrella to include (but not limited to) : FAO Schweetz, Hoffman’s, Macy’s leased shops, IT’SUGAR Asian concept, and the Ecommerce sites.

This role is charged with working with all cross-functional teams to build a compelling, differentiated, and profitable offering for the varying business channels.

What you’ll do? IT’S Exciting!

• Proven negotiating skills, influencing abilities and edible vendor / manufacturer management experience
• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and teams
• Ability to effectively plan, maintain and execute by-store assortments for each Season.
• Responsible for all assortment planning tools / sheets to aid in the process and ensure timely deliveries : POG’s, order forms, assortment matrix, etc.
• Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
• Learn from business trends and implement in future execution
• Meet with suppliers and negotiate terms of contracts and general business dealings
• Maintain relationships with existing brands and source new suppliers for future products.
• Partner with senior management to develop financial goals.
• Identify key growth categories.
• Manage / forecast weekly, monthly and yearly sales goals.
• Work closely with Merchant and Planning teams to ensure accurate SKU data, assortment planning, pricing, and timely issuance of PO’s to meet product introduction timelines and delivery of finished goods to both store locations and customers.
• React quickly to business trends and determine proper course of action to maximize sales, turn, and gross margin.
• Analyze and present potential opportunities and risks to upper management with proposed solutions.
• Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
• Ability to identify and implement strategic initiatives that aid in growing the sales and profitability of the Wholesale and Special Projects offerings.

What you need to join the fun! (besides SUGAR)

• MUST have Confections industry knowledge and experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in Retail purchasing
• 3-5 years of experience in Sales is a plus
• Previous planning / allocation experience is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (focus on MS Excel)
