Land Representative

Duration : 7 Months - Contract to Hire

Location : Salt Lake City, Utah (On-site)

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function) : This position is responsible for securing and maintaining land, land rights and approvals for the construction, operation, and maintenance of company facilities. Typical Duties :

• Provides land-related support activities to district management, including project support activities, landowner contacts, encroachment support, and proactively pursuing favorable land use regulations.
• Obtains and maintains easement rights, zoning permits, storage rights, grants and other land or land rights from private, federal, state and local entities.
• Assists and advises other company personnel by interpreting land rights and strategies for new agreements.
• Negotiates damage settlements in accordance with established real estate, agricultural and forestry standards.
• Research land records and title information and ensures the accuracy of the data in the land records management system.
• Provides assistance in route selection for potential projects.
• Prepares cost estimates for acquisition and damage settlements and tracks costs throughout the project.
• Supports and / or supervises other land staff or contract personnel by providing technical expertise. Develops / Negotiates appropriate rehabilitation and restoration requirements.
