  • Hybrid Position. Offices in Milwaukee, Chicago and Kenosha

SUMMARY : Construction Management Associates is seeking a Construction Estimator to join their estimating department. The ideal candidate will have experience with Commercial and Multi-Family Construction projects; Residential experience is a plus. The primary role involves preparing accurate estimates and take-offs, reviewing construction documents, and analyzing bid data to ensure precise cost estimation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Estimate projects based on received bids
  • Analyze cost data for materials and labor
  • Ensure project requirements are met, including compliance with IHDA, WHEDA, Disadvantaged Business requirements, labor and hiring standards, design criteria, and municipal regulations
  • Post upcoming projects for bidding, receive bids, and manage data entry
  • Review bids for scope coverage and update relevant systems
  • Assist in maintaining the project cost database
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and trade partners
  • Coordinate with team members on project updates
  • Support process improvements within the estimating department

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Experience in construction estimating
  • Technical or 4-year degree, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Knowledge of new construction, historic renovation, and multi-family projects
  • Understanding of construction methods and codes
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and software such as Building Connected, One Team, PlanGrid, BuilderTrend, and Smartsheet
  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills
