Job Description

As the Senior Accountant you will help prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations. Oversee revenue recognition for various projects using ASC 606. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes. Maintain and improve accounting systems, policies, and procedures for efficiency and accuracy. Support tax compliance and filings in coordination with tax consultants. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business initiatives. Mentor and guide junior accounting staff as needed. This role is on site and based in South Scottsdale, AZ.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Accountant should have : a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices including ASC 606. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Understanding of WIP, Cost Accounting or % of completion is needed for this role. Preference to those that have accounting experience from construction, design build, engineering, or manufacturing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. This role is on site and based in South Scottsdale, AZ.
