CVICU Registered Nurse Job Details

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2100 - $2250

Location : Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona healthcare jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel nursing

Unit : CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Blended ICU)

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

Weekly Hours : 36 hours guaranteed

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026)

Call Requirements : Yes

Patient Population : Adult, Geriatric

Unit Size : 16 beds

Patient Ratios : 1 : 2

Electronic Health Record : Medhost

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or CVICU nursing experience preferred

Travel nursing experience a plus

Ability to float to Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding areas

Strong clinical skills in STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair / replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation RVR, ETOH Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma, CRRT, TCAR & TVAR

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU

Monitor and manage critically ill patients with complex cardiac and medical conditions

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Utilize Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR for patient management and documentation

Respond to medical emergencies and participate in code situations

Float to Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding areas as needed

Adhere to hospital policies, including attendance and dress code
