Director of Construction Administration

Our Gaithersburg, MD office is looking for a Director of Construction Administration who embodies this purpose.
Responsibilities :
- Provide construction oversight and perspective throughout design
- Oversee construction administration services
- Site & project evaluation- identify risks and challenges
- Phasing and constructability analysis and support
- Coordination check Arch, Geotech, Surveyor, etc.
- Construction team POC and conduit to design team regarding : RFIsShop Drawing ReviewsSite visits and inspectionsPre-con attendancePermit coordination
- QA / QC review process, assessment of constructability
- High level review of risks related to : Public, Pedestrian, and Traffic safetySchedule and budget risks for clientAssessment and grading of unknowns
- Team support and education teaching and training lessons learned, QC feedback
- Mentoring & supervision of QC / Construction oversight team
- Collaboration with the Technical Resources Group
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Masters’ Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related fields
- 10+ years of residential, commercial, and / or industrial construction management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and able to manage many projects at the same time
- Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation
- Takes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team
- Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies
