Senior Software Engineer - All around USA
Summary
We are looking for a software engineer to join our R&D team based in the USA .
Your duties will include designing, implementing, debugging, and integrating new features for the Lightbits Data Platform for any cloud.
The code our team develops and owns may span multiple domains, including data path (block storage, NVMeOF), control plane, tests and test infrastructure, installation and more.
Position type :
This is a remote position with flexible working hours :
- Live collaboration as needed within US time zones
- Virtual collaboration with teams in other time zones (primarily Israel)
You are going to be involved in team-work across different R&D teams, which requires excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, learn fast, get familiar with our complex product and development environment.
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in software development (MUST)
- Proficiency and proven development experience in C and C++ (MUST)
- Experience in Linux user and / or kernel space programming (MUST)
- Proven experience in networking and / or storage and / or datacenter infrastructure (MUST)
- Proficiency in Python (MUST)
- Proficiency in git (MUST)
- Experience in GoLang programming (advantage)
- Experience in Linux performance analysis (CPU, block, networking) (advantage)
- Experience in open source style, e.g. Linux kernel, development flows (advantage)
- Insights into various Linux distros (advantage)
- Insights into various public cloud platforms (advantage)
