Job Summary :

In Omaha, NE, our team is expanding and we're looking for a Controls Project Manager experienced in managing and delivering sophisticated building automation and controls projects.

This role is crucial for driving project success from conception through to completion, ensuring projects are executed within scope, on time, and within budget, all while achieving the highest levels of client satisfaction.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of controls projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, accurately understanding their requirements and ensuring projects meet their expectations.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, creating a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and excellence.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget, applying rigorous cost control and financial management practices.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues to avoid impacts on project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain transparent and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members, providing regular updates and progress reports.
  • Compile and maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring all project details are accurately recorded and stored.

Qualifications :

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management within the building automation or controls industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Project management certifications such as PMP are highly regarded.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC controls, lighting controls, and security system integration.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to direct and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and effectively negotiating with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Financial management proficiency, with experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting.
  • Based in Omaha, NE, or willing to relocate, with a consistent and proven track record in the industry.
