This is a search for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track position beginning with the fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.
The Instructional Technology (INST) Program seeks applicants with a broad knowledge of educational technology, instructional design, instructional technology or related fields, technology leadership, action research, learning sciences, STEAM, instructional systems and emerging technologies in PK-20, and adult learning / education.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach fully online graduate level courses in Educational Technology and Instructional Design for the program’s Masters, Education Specialist, and Doctoral degree options as well as undergraduate technology courses in the teacher prep programs.
The successful candidate will provide direct student support through supervision of field experience and Doctoral student research through service as dissertation chair, subject matter expert, and / or methodologist on dissertation committees.

The successful candidate will join a collegial team of faculty who are actively engaged in research, curriculum design and development, teaching, program evaluation and accreditation, outreach, and service activities that involve program, departmental, college, and university-wide collaborations.
They will also partner with area P-12 schools and education agencies, the Alabama State Department of Education, and national organizations.
