We have an opportunity with OrthoCarolina for a Part time Radiology Technologist with our OrthoCarolina Gastonia OUC office location. This position will be scheduled 2-3 shifts per week, with shifts either Monday-Friday 5 : 30pm-9 : 30pm or Saturday / Sunday 10 : 00am-2 : 00pm.

The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and / or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.

Essential Functions :

• Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns.
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.
• Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.
• Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and / or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.
• Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department. Assist with patient flow in the examination module(s) as directed by a supervisor.
