WESH 2 News has an opening for a self-motivated individualwho wants to win each day. We are seeking a photographer with the ability tocapture the essence of what’s happening in the field, and then bring it vividlyinto the homes of our viewers. This member of our team will shoot, edit andexecute live shots on a tight deadline. The winning candidate is alsotech savvy and up-to-date on the most modern aspects of our medium. You must beable to shoot on Sony XD Cam, GoPro, on laptop computer and iPhone, and edit inAdobe Premiere and utilize the ENG, SNG, and wireless data to feed completedwork to the station. Excellent editing skills, exceptional time-managementabilities, effective communication style, organization, and knowledge of AdobePremiere, Precis, ABC and CNN platforms are critical. An excellent eye forvideo and the highest journalistic standards are a must. If you are quickacting, quicker thinking, and technically savvy, we want you working in ournewsroom.

Job Responsibilities :

Shootingand editing of vo’ s, vo-sots and packages for broadcast Air and digitalpostings

Workingwith the Assignment Desk and Reporters to cover daily stories.

Gathersvideo and still pictures for digital platforms

Workingwith reporters and producers to ensure the best content and facts aregathered.

Workingwith producers to ensure their creative vision is executed with vividvideo and natural sound.

Communicatingand coordinating incoming video elements from crews in the field.

Canwork with catalog systems to record and locate necessary video.

Willingto shoot from the helicopter

Abilityto work under pressure, making quick decisions

Education : Collegedegree in broadcast journalism preferred, broadcast news, or relatedfieldor equivalent work experience
