Lead procurement strategy for one of Virginia's largest state agencies. You'll oversee millions in contracts, champion supplier diversity, and build a high-performing teamall while driving innovation that directly impacts millions of Virginians. Your impact in numbers includes : 35% strategic procurement leadership for complex, high-value contracts; 25% building and mentoring your procurement team; 20% championing supplier diversity as DMV's SWaM leader; 15% ensuring compliance and managing risk; and 10% collaborating with executive leadership and state agencies. You'll direct complex acquisitions, negotiate enterprise contracts, and develop long-term strategies that optimize costs and drive innovation across DMV operations. Mentor procurement professionals, set performance standards, and create a culture where your team thrives and exceeds expectations. Serve as DMV's SWaM Championdevelop plans, build relationships with diverse suppliers, and advance equity in public procurement. Balance regulatory requirements with cutting-edge procurement practices, ensuring DMV operates at the highest standards while embracing new technologies.

Minimum qualifications include : Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO) certification, extensive public procurement experience, including leadership of large-scale procurement operations or programs, deep knowledge of Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA) and Agency Procurement and Surplus Property Manual (APSPM), proven track record managing large-scale procurement operations, and exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
