Overview

Fleet Feet’s Human Resources Business Partner, Distribution & Store Support Team, plays a key role in helping our people thrive. You’ll support both our Distribution Center and Store Support Team by developing high-performing team members, strengthening engagement, and partnering with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives.

As a trusted advisor, you’ll collaborate with operations, drive performance management, support employee relations, and promote a culture that reflects our mission and values. This role blends strategy and hands-on execution — perfect for someone who enjoys variety, impact, and collaboration across departments.

This is hybrid position with expectations to work 2 days in the corporate office in Carrboro and 1 day in the distribution center in Durham.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong partnerships with Store Support Team and Distribution Center managers.

Partner with leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives and drive accountability.

Lead recruitment efforts for Distribution Center roles, ensuring consistency in hiring processes.

Collaborate across HR to implement programs and ensure best practices across all teams.

Support consistent onboarding, performance management, and career development initiatives.

Coach and hold leaders accountable for performance and growth conversations.

Drive employee recognition and engagement strategies that strengthen culture and retention.

Review engagement survey results and guide leaders on actionable steps for improvement.

Conduct and manage employee relations investigations with fairness and confidentiality.

Oversee offboarding and terminations, ensuring best practices and compliance.

Identify and address training and development needs across the Distribution Center.

Provide guidance on workforce planning, compliance, and HR policy interpretation.

Maintain alignment between policies, processes, and the Fleet Feet mission.

Travel up to 25% as needed to support company needs.
