Claims Specialist Supervisor
The Claims Specialist Supervisor will lead and develop a team of claims representatives and specialists focused on fraud, theft, fire, complex coverage, and liability investigations. This role involves coaching team members to ensure high-quality and timely claim resolutions while fostering talent development through strategic hiring and skill-building opportunities. The supervisor will collaborate with external parties and represent Tesla in official capacities, driving process improvements and maintaining a high standard of claims management.
- Lead and develop a team of representatives to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely resolution of claims
- Create opportunities for direct reports to grow and strengthen new skills through continuous talent development
- Monitor and audit team members' work to ensure reserves are adequately set based on known file exposures
- Promote a culture focused on identifying process efficiencies to improve work completion
- Work independently with minimal oversight while assisting adjusters in resolving complex claims across multiple states
- Collaborate effectively with attorneys, vendors, and other external parties while representing Tesla in official duties
- Strong supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in managing coverage and liability claims teams
- Comprehensive knowledge of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage, and state tort laws
- Ability to perform additional responsibilities as assigned
- Adjuster licensing required
- Over 5 years of experience in auto coverage and liability investigations
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
