Dialysis Registered Nurse

American Kidney Center Greenwood has a Full-time position! We are looking for someone that is dedicated to providing outstanding patient care with a team approach in our growing unit. We are looking for RN's with experience in In-center HD, PD, HHD and / or ACUTES. Experience preferred but not required. We WILL train! COME BE A PART OF THIS AMAZING TEAM!!!

The Dialysis Registered Nurse provides chronic dialysis care and treatment, develops nursing care plans involving assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, training and education; communicates with the physician and other members of the healthcare team to interpret, adjust, and complete patient care plans, and assists in research studies.

• Demonstrates applicable knowledge of policies and procedures related to the Dialysis Registered Nurse / licensed practical nurse / patient care technician.
• Demonstrates ability to perform technical skills for the dialysis Registered Nurse including the patient’s treatment, and water treatment facility, and emergency procedures, as determined by the competency assessment program.
• Assists with and performs all procedures of safe operation, disinfection and inventory control according to corporate and departmental policy, manufacturer commendations and regulatory agency guidelines.
• Assumes administrative duties under the direction of the Center Director / Coordinator
• Assumes responsibility and utilizes opportunities for personal and professional growth.
• Performs additional duties and is responsible for specific projects that are assigned by the Director of Nursing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Degree in nursing or health related field preferred.

Approximately two years med / surg / TCU or ICU nursing experience preferred

One Year Hemodialysis dialysis experience preferred but not required

Current appropriate state licensure.

Successful completion of training course in theory and practice of hemodialysis.

Valid driver’s license and insurance, when indicated / applicable for business travel by automobile.

Computer knowledge desirable.

Successful completion of current CPR Healthcare Recognition according to the American Heart Association.

Possesses reliable transportation.
