Pay Range
$100,000.00 / hr – $130,000.00 / hr

Responsibilities
- Provide professional structural engineering and construction management support, serving as general engineer with technical leadership.
- Act as subject matter expert on national standards for structural designs, foundation analysis for dams and lock structures, bridges, roads.
- Review as-built drawings and respond to RFI requests.
- Perform quality assurance inspections, structural fabrication inspections, documentation review, general construction management from structural perspective.
- Review construction lift plans involving cranes and rigging.
- Experience with reviewing contractor claims.
- Provide safety oversight, documentation, direct corrective actions for worker and public safety.
- Assist in interpreting and enforcing contractual provisions regarding contractor structural engineering requirements, deliverables; document progress reports.
- Recommend authorization of progress payments based on observed contract progress.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.10 years of experience as structural engineer on large complex multimillion dollar federal construction projects.Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Tennessee Valley Authority, or other federal project experience preferred.Experience with lock, dam and / or levee construction preferred.Demonstrated experience in heavy civil construction with emphasis on structural concrete, rebar, formwork.Experience with design and monitoring shop fabrication of welded steel structures.Experience reviewing construction lift plans involving cranes and rigging.Physical Requirements
Mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.Carry required instruments and equipment.Lift 50 pounds.Perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other standards, meeting productivity standards.Subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including extreme cold and heat.Benefits
