The Royal Caribbean Group’s Health team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Biomedical Tech I reporting to the Manager, Biomedical Engineering.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Diagnose and correct medical equipment system malfunctions.
- Test the functionality of medical equipment. Ability to make necessary adjustments / calibrations.
- Read and understand service manuals, operators’ manuals, data sheets, spec sheets, etc.
- Maintain documentation of all service events, performance tests, PM results, and corrective maintenance
- Ability to repair, troubleshoot, test, or PM equipment on-site.
- Repair, install, maintain, and calibrate a wide variety of medical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and checklists.
- Provide technical assistance and instruction to end users via phone, email, or on-site.
- Perform Electrical Safety Inspections
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills :
- Associate degree in biomedical engineering or relevant field strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, managers, and customers.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
- Ability to travel to all seaports in the continental US and international. Extensive travel is required (60%).
- Ability to work independently and / or in a collaborative environment.
