Work Schedule : Subject to change based on business need. Monday - Friday - 8 : 00AM - 4 : 30PM with possibility of frequent changes in hours, must be flexible to cover team members on multiple shifts.

Anticipated salary range : $65,000 - 93,500 annually

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment.

Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of controlling inventory, space utilization, inventory reconciliation, expiration and lot tracking, and inventory troubleshooting and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

  • Directing and managing a team of inventory control warehouse associates to account for timely distribution and receipt of products and motivate employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achieved.
  • Overseeing all inventory control operations which includes; managing the flow of goods, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient and accurate warehouse operations.
  • Overseeing the completion of SOX Reporting requirements, participates in QA events, reporting and resolution of Inbound and Outbound discrepancy, processing of customer returns, error resolution, cycle count compliance, profiling assistance and service issues.
  • Implementing best practices and maintains accurate inventory records.
  • Adhering to budgetary guidelines and works to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining standards pertaining to quality and inventory.
  • Driving and participating in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Performing daily scheduling of the work force to ensure proper staffing to select, replenish, restock, locate, and ship merchandise in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
  • Developing and maintaining the inventory tracking system.
  • Monitoring and reporting inventory accuracy and shrinkage.
  • Designing and implementing inventory control procedures.
  • Examining material levels and identifying shortages.
  • Avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies by properly ordering new supplies.
  • Actively engaging in employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within operational groups on a daily basis.
  • Interviewing and making hiring decisions for lead and associate level roles.
  • Maintaining general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensuring a productive work climate in the warehouse operation.
  • Preparing ad hoc reports, as necessary using Excel (or any other necessary programs)
  • Reviewing attendance / PTO records and ensuring scheduling is maintained.
  • Holding staff accountable for conducting work in a safe manner while enforcing Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authorities.
  • Majority of workday is spent on the floor while balancing administrative duties.
  • Managing Deselect report daily to clear all inventory issues.
  • Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical or production staff in an assigned area.
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinating work activities with other supervisors.
  • Applies expertise to solve standard and non-standard problems within own area.
  • Role models Cardinal Health's high ethical standards and code of conduct.
  • Provides direction in discussing and creating development plans.
  • Provides input into succession planning process for own work area.
  • Aligns individual goals for self and others with work area / functional goals.
  • Builds confidence and respect of others through a positive and energizing style.
  • Works within budgetary / financial objectives set by director, applying knowledge of profit drivers to work processes within own area.
  • Builds customer relationships, interprets customer needs and assesses their business requirements.

  • Resolves day-to-day or routine problems using defined processes.
  • Works / brainstorms with work team and provides suggestions for solutions that contain the appropriate level of risk; ensures work team understands and supports the focus on operational excellence.
  • Identifies specific opportunities for long-term change within own work team or product / service.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of work processes and tools within own area.
  • Makes decisions, often difficult and / or unpopular, by carefully weighing pros and cons and acting for the benefit of the work team;

coaches / supports subordinates in their decision-making efforts.

  • Assists work team in the achievement of goals / commitments; achieves own goals / commitments regardless of obstacles.
  • Is aware of internal / external business issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 3-5 years related experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills are desired for success in this role.
  • Prior experience with inventory control, continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience leading a team.
  • High level knowledge of Microsoft Excel ().
  • Experience working within ERP’s (SAP or Oracle) preferred.
  • Experience driving MHE equipment preferred
