The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, supporting month-end close, and assisting with audits and reporting. During the monthly close, you'll have responsibilities helping out in many aspects of general accounting tasks to back-up the department.

We're seeking candidates who possess strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate setting. If you like to collaborate, plan, and execute solutions this is the role for you. 2-4 years of general accounting experience preferably in a multi-entity or service-based environment is required.

PLEASE NOTE : This position is not remote for the first 90 days for training purposes. Then we will accommodate one day a week WFH.

Compensation : While the compensation for this position is ultimately dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications, the approximate salaried compensation for this position will be $60,000.00-65,000.00 USD

Schedule : While this role will generally fall within regular business hours Monday - Friday, flexibility in daily work schedules may be necessary due to departmental workload requirements and other responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries and reconciliations, supporting month-end close, and assisting with audits and reporting. Additional key responsibilities include :

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and inter-company allocations
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accruals
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely financial reporting
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate monthly depreciation
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions when needed
• Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate expense coding and documentation
• Assist with annual financial audits and provide supporting schedules and documentation
• Maintain compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
