Workers' Compensation Claims Assistant

Onsite @ Atlanta, GA | Full-Time | Administrative Support |

About the Role

Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We're looking for a Workers' Compensation Claims Assistant to join our team and provide essential administrative support to our Workers' Compensation department.

In this role, you'll help ensure the timely and accurate processing of claims, maintain detailed records, and coordinate communication between injured employees, medical providers, and claims managers. Your work will directly support the health, safety, and recovery of our team members - while upholding our company's core values of integrity, innovation, and teamwork .

Key Responsibilities

Set up and manage all new workers' compensation claims; maintain claim databases and assign cases to claims managers.

Receive and distribute faxes, medical records, and other documentation to appropriate personnel.

Maintain reports on open and closed claims; prepare monthly claim summaries for management.

Process incoming mail and route it to the correct departments.

Coordinate transportation and medical appointments for injured workers, including follow-ups and IMEs.

Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries related to claims and case status.

Request prior medical records and ensure documentation is complete.

Provide daily administrative support to claims managers and other team members.

Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Perform additional business-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Experience :

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or

Three to six months of related experience / training; or

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable managing electronic databases.
