Territory manager selling engineered fall protection and safety equipment into commercial construction, manufacturing, utilities, etc.
Hybrid : 2-3 days / month at office in Vancouver, WA. Remainder is home-based
Comes with a significant amount of existing business
KEY THINGS
- Live in an area reasonably central to the territory; most work in near the coast.
- Experience selling B2B manufactured things, ideally into commerical construction or manufacturing
- Used to “hunting” for business; more sales oriented than account management
- Travel : probably 60% - 70% travel

B2B outside sales - "Hunter" with technical / consultative approachOwn monthly sales targetsWork with company-provided qualified leads and find own leads; pursue bothWork with company methodology and system - extensive training providedPerform site surveys to address ANSI (and OSHA) compliance issuesPrepare detailed quotations for site-specific engineered products to address issuesWork with company engineering, inside sales and logistics to deliver a seamless experienceResolve issues such as shipping / logistics, credit, engineering, etc, that get in the wayLeverage construction tracking tools and market analysis to generate new business.Track all relevant activities in CRM (training provided)Requirements :
Experience working with and hitting or exceeding goals4+ years of experience selling; significant amount B2BSkilled with consultative selling - so find value, not just price.Excellent communication skills - on sites, with customers, in presentations, etcType of person you need to be :
Creative problem solver for the customer and yourselfEnergized by the challenge of finding new customers as well as taking care of existingProvides solutions to a customer that is a value to them and best margin for companyEnjoys being independent : digging into numbers, writing quotes, presenting to customersEnergized being in the field with customersA creative problem solverAbility to take measurements, prepare to scale hand sketches for estimatingMust be able to work legally in the U.S. without any visa requirements now or in the future.
Base salary is $75k - $80k; uncapped commission, benefits, etc
