Security Professional - Retail Officer

As a Security Professional - Retail Officer in Santa Fe, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all. Your visible presence and routine patrols will support a positive experience for visitors and staff, while you provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Pay Rate : $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Thur 01 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Fri 01 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sat 01 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 06 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits within the retail environment.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and interacting with customers and staff as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site management.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
