Catholic Charities Legal Services, Archdiocese of Miami, Inc. (hereafter "CCLS") is a non-profit organization that represents low-income immigrants without reference to their race, religion, gender, ethnic group, or other distinguishing characteristics. CCLS seeks a Paralegal professional to work with our vulnerable populations team which serves families and unaccompanied children facing removal proceedings before the Miami Immigration Court and in local state courts.

Job Duties :
- Assist attorneys in direct representation of clients in removal proceedings.
- Assist in the preparation of cases for submission to USCIS, Immigration Court, and the Board of Immigration Appeals including various immigration forms such as EADs, Fee Waivers and TPS and translations.
- Provide presentations in Spanish to recent arrivals in person and / or virtually.
- Conduct legal screenings in our office and at satellite offices around Miami-Dade County.
- Act as interpreter in various hearings / adjudicatory interviews.
- Assist attorneys by processing incoming case-related correspondence, scheduling client appointments, and by contacting clients to follow up on case matters and returning applicable phone calls to clients.
- Comply with reporting to funders and regular data management; and
- Engage in outreach and education in the area of immigrants' rights.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications :
Experience working as a paralegal preferred.Demonstrated interest in collaborating with marginalized communities also preferred.Fully bilingual, including reading and writing, in English and Spanish or English and Haitian Creole highly required.Must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, self-motivation, and an ability to work collaboratively with others; andMust be adept at interacting with a wide variety of people and comfortable working in a busy, open work environment.To apply : Send a cover letter Michaelle Alfred, Human Resources Manager, at [emailprotected] .
