Job Description

Trusted Space is seeking an Aerospace or Systems Engineer with a Bachelor's degree or higher and 10+ years' experience to join our team.

  • Leads design and integration of program's Modeling and Simulation Environment
  • Develops and implements strategic plans to enhance system performance, scalability and reliability
  • Utilizes MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler to create detailed models that capture system requirements, architecture, behavior, and interfaces using SysML / UML.
  • Generates system engineering documents and data (e.g., Interface Control Documents, Design Specifications, Test Plans) directly from the MBSE model.
  • Defines and manages system architectures, perform functional analysis, conduct trade studies, and define interfaces to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams including software developers, aerospace engineers, project managers, and customers to ensure model alignment and effective communication of technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identifies potential issues, perform risk assessments, and implement solutions proactively to ensure system requirements, efficiency and performance objectives are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Knowledgeable in satellite systems, ground-based mission systems or mission operations
  • Knowledge of agile software development and deployment best practices and application of cybersecurity requirements to integrated ground and space capability
  • Knowledgeable of Model-Based System Engineering methodology and the Cameo Systems Modeler tool
  • Strong background in systems engineering, satellite systems and subsystems development
  • An active TS / SCI clearance the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph
  • Willingness to travel, likely monthly to CA, CO, or Washington, DC
  • Desired Skills

  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Understanding of the government acquisition life cycle events (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc)
  • Relevant certifications, such as INCOSE CSEP or OCSMP.
  • Experience in an Agile or DevSecOps environment.
  • Prior experience with hardware / software integration and testing.
  • 5-10 years Department of Defense or Intelligence Community (IC) customer experience
  • Salary Range : The salary range for this role is $165,000-$220,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary.
