Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location : Dubuque, IA 52001 (Iowa nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Maternity Unit – OB (LDRP, C-section OR, overflow rooms)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse contract

Start Date : December 29, 2025

End Date : March 30, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 3x12 hour day shifts per week (starting around 7am)

Total Hours per Week : 36

Weekend / Holiday Rotation : Every 3rd weekend & holiday as scheduled

On-Call : Not required, but available if interested

EMR System : EPIC

Scrubs : Hospital provided (light blue)

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2000-$2140

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Experience in NICU and / or Mother-Baby units preferred

Proficiency with EPIC EMR required

Previous travel nursing contract within the past 12 months (no first-time travelers)

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM, STABLE

Submission of recent resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, certifications, and professional references

Proof of taxable address (driver’s license, utility bill, lease, etc.)

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, postpartum, newborn, gynecology, and NICU patients

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes

Monitor and manage glucose drips and other medications as needed

Accurately document patient care and interventions in the EPIC EMR system

Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations

Maintain a safe, supportive, and family-centered environment for patients and families
