The Opportunity : As a Claims Litigation Manager, you will manage moderately complex litigation related to property contracts while ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations. Your role will involve developing strategic plans for defense or settlement, evaluating and negotiating claims, and collaborating with defense counsel to secure resolutions. We value concierge-level service, so you'll set appropriate expectations and engage proactively with our members.

What you'll do :

• Manage litigation involving serious injuries or property damage, addressing questionable damages, liability, and coverage issues.
• Utilize your knowledge of claims litigation processes related to the Homeowner / Renter Policy Contract and Umbrella.
• Act as a liaison with members and counsel, documenting the strategy, budget, and key decisions throughout the litigation process.
• Represent USAA at mediations, case conferences, and trials.
• Review and audit legal fees and expenses, ensuring accountability among law firm vendors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and ensure high levels of member service.
• Monitor and control risks associated with business activities in accordance with risk and compliance policies.

Compensation Range : The salary for this position ranges from $85,040 to $162,550, based on experience and market data. Note : USAA does not offer visa sponsorship for this role, so applicants requiring immigration support should not apply.
