Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer (Level 4) to join our Fabrication Quality Team located in Auburn, Washington.

The Quality Engineer will work with the Boeing Quality Engineering team and report to a first-line manager. They will support Advanced Product Quality Production (APQP) verification and acceptance activity. To be successful in this role you must be enthusiastic, proactive and self-directed to help oversee and assist in the day-to-day operational support. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an individual to apply leadership, creativity, and to grow in a dynamic Quality Engineering organization.

Position Responsibilities :

Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation

Provides Quality interpretation of complex requirements

Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, company and regulatory requirements

Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.

Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs

Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness

Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances

Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions

Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved

Works under minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering

5+ years of experience with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)

3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

3+ years of experience in data analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

1+ years of experience performing product inspection

1+ years of experience in Quality Inspection including FAI (First Article Inspection)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range : $116,450-$157,550
