Process Engineer Recycling

The position will require the candidate to lead the process related commissioning of Krones Plastics Recycling plants in coordination with the service team.
Provide training to the customer along with consulting on best practices related to maintenance and operation of the Krones equipment.
Provide trouble shooting support for both Krones engineering / service and customer plant operations. Quality control guidance for customer laboratory technicians regarding parameter setting and measurements.
Job duties :
- Capable of reading / creating process flow diagrams / clarification of OEM equipment and facility interfaces.
- Be the Face-to-the-Customer’ for all matters relating to training, operating, and maintaining Recycling Systems.
- Prioritize / manage requests for customer technical support to avoid over-tasking of internal resources.
- Troubleshoot line issues, identify root cause, and suggest / implement a remedy.
- Quality control functions, sample taking, test procedures, results evaluation and data reporting.
- Create reports as required during start-up and commissioning.
- Aftermarket support for operations, process management, maintenance, and optimization.
- Attend and participate in all meetings required by the Krones recycling team and customer.
- Provide and / or create technical / training documentation as requested.
- Keep abreast of Krones Recycling Solutions portfolio updates.
- Facilitate resolution of customer issues.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Engineering or a technical field of study.
Experience and / or Training : Requires at least 5 years of experience in the recycling industry, specifically plastic collections, basic polymer science, processing (washing, molding) and recycled content packaging requirements.
Equipment service, preferably in a plastics reclamation environment.
Ability to analyze and work under pressure. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Travel up to 75% of the time, during project commisioning stays at the project location will be in the 90 - 120 day durations.
The position is remote during the time between projects.
